Operations Manager

Cathy brings a wealth of experience to Nova’s Ark, with a solid background in the residential care sector and a deep commitment to supporting individuals with varied abilities. Her career has included key roles such as Program Coordinator at Harmony Place and, most recently, at Variety Village.

Beginning her career in frontline care, Cathy progressed to Residential Supervisor with Circle of Support, where she focused on supporting individuals with Autism and Dual Diagnosis. She brings strong expertise in developing individualized service plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing the seamless operation of services—including licensing and funding procurement.

At Variety Village, Cathy launched two new Adult Day Programs and played a pivotal role during the pandemic by creating a virtual outreach initiative. This innovative program was adopted by schools and organizations across the region. After the pandemic, Cathy expanded the initiative, welcoming hundreds of students annually to Variety Village and providing opportunities for them to learn about and engage with individuals living with varied abilities.

Having previously supported the organization by facilitating staff training, Cathy joined our team full-time in September 2025 as our Operations Manager. As a dedicated member of our Strategic Leadership Team, Cathy connects with families and supports program growth while collaborating with colleagues.

Unlike everywhere else I’ve been, at Nova’s Ark, I do not feel out of place. It gives me something that I feel like I can’t find anywhere else. I meet people that I otherwise wouldn’t meet and I feel like a lot of those who have helped me through my struggles I’ve met here.

Nova’s Ark is special to our whole family. When Daniel first started here, he could only speak one-word sentences. Now, he can talk your ear off and is very independent. Daniel being at Nova’s Ark takes a lot of pressure off of our family because we know he is safe, happy and learning. No matter the weather or if he is tired, Daniel doesn’t want to miss a day.

From the moment our son started attending Novas Ark, we felt such positivity, hope and inspiration. Everyone in the Nova’s Ark family has been so caring and accepting of our whole family. Nova’s Ark has gone above and beyond to help us on our family’s journey and we are beyond thankful. We are so lucky to have found such a supportive environment for our children and our family.
