Land-Based Adult Enrichment Specialist

Eve was connected with Nova’s Ark for 12 years in various capacities before joining our team. She brings a wealth of experience in working with children, youth, and their families in community integration and inclusion strategies. Eve’s lived experience of being raised with members of the Deaf community and alongside individuals with varied abilities defines her work at Nova’s Ark, where she supports our participants’ engagement through thoughtful accommodations and modifications.

Eve holds several certifications, including those from the Centre for Adolescent Studies, Trauma Basics for Youth Workers, and the Ministry of Ontario’s Integrated Accessibility certificate. She has a background in community integration, understanding personal needs and using strategies to support individuals of all abilities. Additionally, Eve has her Level 3 Forest Educator Certification, a Certification from the University of Alberta on Indigenous Canada and holds various certifications from the Outdoor learning school on nature-based outdoor education.

By combining her personal and professional experiences with her love and knowledge of art, science and the outdoors, Eve strives to develop learning opportunities that support growth, independence, creativity and life skills that can be taken out of Nova’s Ark to be used at home and within the community.

Unlike everywhere else I’ve been, at Nova’s Ark, I do not feel out of place. It gives me something that I feel like I can’t find anywhere else. I meet people that I otherwise wouldn’t meet and I feel like a lot of those who have helped me through my struggles I’ve met here.

Nova’s Ark is special to our whole family. When Daniel first started here, he could only speak one-word sentences. Now, he can talk your ear off and is very independent. Daniel being at Nova’s Ark takes a lot of pressure off of our family because we know he is safe, happy and learning. No matter the weather or if he is tired, Daniel doesn’t want to miss a day.

From the moment our son started attending Novas Ark, we felt such positivity, hope and inspiration. Everyone in the Nova’s Ark family has been so caring and accepting of our whole family. Nova’s Ark has gone above and beyond to help us on our family’s journey and we are beyond thankful. We are so lucky to have found such a supportive environment for our children and our family.
