Savanna joined Nova’s Ark in January 2026, where she was thrilled to become part of such a meaningful and unique community. From the moment she learned about Nova’s Ark, she was drawn to the warmth, creativity, and intentionality of the space.
Savanna holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour, and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Psychotherapy. Her academic work includes a thesis focused on Forest School programming, and her professional experience spans traditional classroom settings, summer camps, and working closely with children with diverse support needs.
At Nova’s Ark, Savanna works primarily with our younger participants (12 and under), taking a developmental, holistic, and strengths-based approach to care. She is passionate about play-based, child-led learning and believes that meaningful growth happens when children feel safe, respected, and truly seen. Savanna values building strong, trusting relationships with the children she supports, as well as with their families and caregivers, recognizing collaboration as a key part of each child’s success. She also places a strong emphasis on teamwork, believing that positive, supportive relationships among staff create the strongest foundation for meaningful programming and joyful experiences for participants.
Savanna is deeply passionate about working at Nova’s Ark because it offers children the freedom to explore, learn, and thrive in ways that honour who they are. She loves seeing children embrace and celebrate their differences, and values the opportunity to support development outside of rigid, traditional classroom expectations. For Savanna, the possibilities at Nova’s Ark truly are endless, and she feels grateful to be part of a community that prioritizes acceptance, curiosity, and authentic growth.
