Our 2026 Summer Program registration is now open!

We’re excited to offer each individual the opportunity to participate in our unique Summer Program! To ensure all participants can enjoy the benefits of this experience, we are offering the option to register for up to three weeks of programming, provided there is space available. If you’d like to sign up for additional weeks, we will place any extra weeks on our waitlist.

This helps us maintain fairness and ensures that every participant has an equal opportunity to attend. Thank you for your understanding and for being part of our community!

A philosophy of structured freedom offers the opportunity to for individuals with varied abilities to join our trained facilitator and mentor team, as we explore our therapy animals and participate in a variety of outdoor activities. Programming is modified to highlight the strengths of each participant. Our Summer Program runs in conjunction with the Durham Region School Board’s summer break.

Unlike everywhere else I’ve been, at Nova’s Ark, I do not feel out of place. It gives me something that I feel like I can’t find anywhere else. Nova’s Ark is special to our whole family. When Daniel first started here, he could only speak one-word sentences. Now, he can talk your ear off and is very independent. Daniel being at Nova’s Ark takes a lot of pressure off of our family because we know he is safe, happy and learning. No matter the weather or if he is tired, Daniel doesn’t want to miss a day.

From the moment our son started attending Novas Ark, we felt such positivity, hope and inspiration. Everyone in the Nova’s Ark family has been so caring and accepting of our whole family.
